Chakavian Word and Music
People of Halubje preserved at the longest their old customs and domestic Chakavian dialect, therefore the Chakavian linguistic heritage is very alive. The dialect, identity, old habits and customs– whatever makes ethnicity and distinguishes it from others are being promoted.

Istrian scale is a series of six tones of specific tonal relations that theoretically compounds untempered folk music of Istria, the Croatian coast and islands of Kvarner. The name was given according to the Istrian peninsula, neighbouring to Kvarner, its principal area.
The most famous folk instrument of the Kvarner is sopile. It is a type of oboe woodwind instrument and the rest of the old European ˝šalmaja˝ instrument that has a double tongue and a conical tube. Regularly perform two players of ˝sopac˝where one plays, ie blows into the "small" sopilua and another "big" sopila. The instrument has six holes to be closed with the fingers. It is made of maple wood.
The very Public Institution Ivan Matetić Ronjgov with its long term acting is guardian of the authentic values of this area which revives and promotes regularly at its events.
